Ok, lets see. Before I moved to Hopkins with Oliver I used to live in Sittee River. That is a small village about four mile away from Hopkins. It is a beautiful and very quiet place. There, I used to live with my mom, sister and step-dad, who are the best family ever.
The only problem I ever had in Sittee was too much bitting insect other than that every thing is nice. I love that place and will always love it, it is my home Village.
Ok, The first pic... is the Sittee River, the second and third is my sisters Juliet and Kara, the fourth is my parents and the last is of course Me, Pam.
I met Oliver in October of 2003, at an Internet Cafe in Sittee River. Then started dating for two months after which I went with him to Playa Del Carmen to drop off his Parents and brother. When I returned to Belize I moved in with him on the beach in Hopkins, which was on Christmas Eve. We first lived in a rented house but later moved in to our own small Cabana in the new year of 2004.
These are my friends that i can remember so far. The ones that came to visit Oli and I here in Hopkins. Ernesto, my best friend, the one I spend a lot of my youth with. Hotten, who spend the longest time with us, very nice guy. Tottie&Melli, the guys i spend christmas with in 2004, It was so funny having them around. Oh schnippi, such a funny guy, I like him a lot, he doesn't speak any english but we got along very well making signs to each other. Mista Lucky, Very good friend of us, part of the family now. We spend a lot of time together, and when we need someone to look after the place he always come to the rescue. Florian, nice helping guy likes to clean up after dinner, which is verry ok by me. Knut and Diana, had some nice time with them. Knut, my German teacher, with a lot of funny jokes, some of them were very funny but again some of them makes no sense at all, but I still laugh, not at the joke but at him. "Here comes the Bride"
Almost a year now and I finally come around to write something about April 22nd 2006, "my wedding day". It was the perfect day for the perfect wedding, all the people I wanted to be there was there except my best friend. I always hear people talking about wedding being so much work, which is not true, having the right friends and families around, made it so easy for me. The day of the wedding my soon to be brother-in-law took me to the hairdresser; it took about an hour to finish up from there.
When I got back the tables and chairs was already set up along with the arch, which was decorated by the maid of honor and other friends. Minutes later my family came over to line the aisle with flowers, cover the tables and clean up the bar and kitchen area.
Like two hours before the wedding it hit me that all the girls taking part in the ceremony had flowers but me. So the maid of honor and I got into the truck, drove to Sittee and got me some nice freshly picked flowers, she really put them together nicely.
What's this saying I heard that the bride and groom shouldn't see each other the day just before the wedding because it is bad luck, well I don't thing so!
We got up together, wished each other a nice day and even made plans about running away leaving everyone waiting. Also the groom shouldn't see the bride before she walks down the aisle - we put that to the test, too. He came to me minutes before the wedding, asking me to comb his hair so it wouldn't blow all over his face, so I did it with a lot of hair spray.
Big thanks to all those who helped: The DJ, Bartenders, waitress, Torsten for buying the rings and Moses for taking good care of them and not losing them in the sand, Melanie and Pamina for the design of the sailboat, my parents for the bamboo arch, the cake and some food, Lydia and help for the decorations of the aisle, tables and souvenirs, Oliver's parents for the drink supplies and the guests for appearing.
Now the ceremony..... we had Pastor Castillo, Groom-Oliver along side best man-Torsten, Brides Maid&Escorts-Juliet-Falk, Christeen-Florian, Kara-Stephan, maid-of-honor-Melanie, ringholder-Moses flowergirls-Trina-Pamina-Renera...
and the Bride- "Lady Pamela"....
Now, let the pictures say the rest..........
